Olu Ella Sri lanka π¦ππ
Olu Ella is the 6th tallest waterfall in the island and is also known as the tallest waterfall in the Kegalle District.
The Vee Oya starts from Barana Mountain at 1200 m and then joins the Welihelo Oya in the Parusella area and then joins the Kelani River at Yatiyantota.
The waterfall is 18 meters wide, 127 meters high and falls in 4 sections. Due to the remote location this is avoided by casual travelers.
The road to the waterfall splits in two. There is an old wooden bridge across the Vee Oya. This wooden bridge was built to transport tea leaves during the colonial era and is said to be the oldest wooden bridge used in the country today.
The Ceylon Waterfalls Council, which has identified and listed 382 waterfalls in the island, has mistakenly included this waterfall in the Galle District.
Although Kegalle and Galle are two completely different districts, this waterfall is one of the hidden hidden places in the Kegalle District.
So these beautiful places in the small country need to be preserved for the future so be sure to lovingly protect the waterfall and the surrounding environment when visiting.
